Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Legaris mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Legaris. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it updated.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use Legaris only for its intended purpose — organizing your family's documents and preparing for emergencies. You may not use the Service to store illegal content, infringe on others' rights, or attempt to access other users' data. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the documents you upload.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Legaris offers Free, Plus (HK$117/month), and Family (HK$234/month) plans. Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your App Store or Play Store account settings.
4. Refunds
Refunds for paid subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store and Google Play Store according to their respective refund policies. Legaris does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds.
5. Service availability
We strive to keep Legaris available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or emergencies. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.
6. Limitation of liability
Legaris is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Intellectual property
Legaris, its design, features, and code are our intellectual property. You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
